“A dog returns to a shelter 11 times and finds its forever home there.”

“While most four-legged companions hope to leave the shelter, some sometimes feel… at home.

Shelters are overflowing with animals ready to be adopted. While the sadness of some is evident during visits, others seem to adapt perfectly to the place. This is the case with Gumby, a white dog, who found his true home at the Charleston Animal Society in South Carolina.

At first glance, one might think that the animal was continuously rejected by the families who adopted him. But not quite. During the year following his arrival at the Association, this four-legged companion was returned 11 times. Each time, skillful in escaping, he would run away from his new home and return to the shelter, either after being brought back by his exhausted owners or after being found by the Association, as reported by The Epoch Times.”
