The horse spends 15 years on daily strolls along the path her deceased owner used to take

In Frankfurt, a beautiful white Arabian horse goes for walks every day.

She doesn’t need guards or jockeys – she knows the way very well.
Jenny, a 25-year-old mare, was ridden by her owner, who died more than 15 years ago.
A gentle horse takes a morning ride around the city every day.

Jenny wasn’t traveling alone – she was part of a horse caravan led by mare owner Werner Weischedel. Werner died at the age of 82. Over time, Jenny’s girlfriend, a dark horse named Charlie, also died of old age.
Weischedel’s wife therefore decided to drive the horse as the owner rode it.

Jenny was first accompanied on her morning walks.
But later the new owner realized that the mare would manage on her own. Since then, Jenny has been freed from arrest and calmly walks the streets of the city on a scholarly path. It may seem to some that a lonely horse passing through the city is running, a bit strange and even dangerous.

However, the independent mare knows her home trail well and moves like any other passer-by nearby.
Weischedel’s wife even works with the Frankfurt police to make sure Jenny and the locals are safe.

As a result, there hasn’t been a single incident involving him in 15 years.

Jenny has also become a celebrity among the locals. Everyone waits impatiently for the mare: some stop to say hello and pet her, groom her and even clean up after her.

And the story of the wandering Arabian horse brings smiles to people all over the world today.
