Paddy was 85 when she took to Britain’s Got Talent to show the world she can dance. With Nicko’s help, she managed to trick the judges into thinking their performance was going to be boring.
For their very first dance, they deliberately started slow. Everyone thought that would be it for the senior. Then they surprised everyone when the music got faster.
Nicko suddenly picked up Paddy like she was weightless, and he started spinning and twirling her. He even helped her do some somersaults and cartwheels through the air.
It is thanks to their skills and their charisma that they obtained the Golden Buzzer for their performance. Since then, they have never looked back and they danced harder and harder each time they arrived.
Their following performances have always been excellent. They would have colour-coordinated outfits and even backup dancers to help set the scene. One performance had a song that was about their journey.
When the judges watched them dance, they always had big smiles on their faces. It was also mixed with worry because it was impossible to forget how old Paddy was.
The iconic duo have proven that age is just a number. Paddy was a fantastic dancer, even better than many people younger than her.
