This recipe allows you to prepare a pie with tender, fluffy dough and aromatic, juicy apples. It’s easy to prepare and the taste is simply delicious. Apple pie according to this recipe is superior to regular charlotte. The dough turns out a little denser, reminiscent of a cake in consistency, but at the same time it remains moist and fluffy, and the apples give it a special sourness and additional juiciness. First, break the eggs into a large bowl, add salt, vanilla and sugar, whisking until the ingredients are completely dissolved. If desired, you can add a little cinnamon. Then pour the milk into the bowl and continue stirring vigorously. Pour the melted butter into the egg-milk mixture, stirring thoroughly with a whisk.
After this, add the sifted flour and baking powder into the dough, stirring until a homogeneous mass without lumps is obtained. The dough should be thick, like pancakes, with a silky texture and creamy vanilla aroma. For apples, choose a variety with a sweet and sour taste. Cut them in half and remove the core. It is not necessary to remove the peel. Chop the apples into small cubes. Grease a baking dish with butter, place all the apples on the bottom and distribute them evenly.
Then fill the apples with dough. Bake the pie in an oven preheated to 180° for 30-35 minutes. To check if the pie is done, use a wooden skewer to pierce the dough. The skewer should remain dry. The pie comes out incredibly tasty, tender and juicy. It is great served both hot and cold. Serve it with tea or coffee for breakfast. Bon appetit!
