A video has gone viral online. The reason? The footage shows a homeless man throwing a birthday party for his two dogs.
In January 2022, a park located in Colombia was the scene of a moving scene. Indeed, a homeless person organized a small birthday party for his two dogs. This heartbreaking moment was captured on video by a passerby.
A birthday full of emotions
For the occasion, the furballs – named Shaggy and Nena – wore colorful cone-shaped hats. But that’s not all ! The quadrupeds even got a cake with candles.
On the images, we hear the master singing “Happy Birthday ” to his four-legged friends. After this musical parenthesis, Shaggy and Nena received a slice of cake and an avalanche of hugs.
Unsurprisingly, the author of the video did not miss a single crumb of this tender spectacle. The passerby approached the trio to chat with the owner of the animals, a certain Choko. The latter has been living on the streets for some time after fleeing an abusive home. Despite the difficulties, he does everything possible to meet the needs of his beloved doggies.
The video, posted on social networks, quickly went viral (more than 440,000 views). Touched by the images, Internet users wanted to help the little family through donations of food and other supplies.
In addition, the park where the festivities took place has become a gathering place for animal lovers. Someone also gave Choko a new cell phone.
This gift allowed him to create an Instagram account, on which he tells his daily life to his 180,000 subscribers. During an Insta Live, Choko clarified that Shaggy was celebrating her fourth birthday. For her part, Nena will celebrate her eleventh birthday next November.
Today, the homeless man dreams of opening his own animal shelter. And the least we can say is that the young man has his heart on his sleeve. He sold his shirts and the money raised was donated to an association that fights against animal abuse.
“A dog will teach you unconditional love. If you can have that in your life, things will only be positive ,” he told his community.
