Yazemeenah Rossi is a 61-year-old woman who has just proven that age is just a number and has nothing to do with fading beauty. In the photo series below, Yazemeenah looks absolutely stunning in the swimwear collection and she clearly states that swimwear models don’t have to be young. Looking at the photos, you can tell that old age could not overcome her beauty.
WOW!! Yazameenah has been cast as the model for the swimwear campaign which is a collaboration between online store The Dreslyn and a lingerie house called Land of Women. Through this campaign, the main goal was to move away from the hyper-sexualized imagery of existing swimwear lines. That’s why Brooke Taylor Corcia, the founder of Dreslyn, chose Malibu, Calif.-based Rossi as her role model.
She told Huffpost: “She is a woman who radiates health and vitality. She is confident, she is a visual artist, she takes care of herself. This woman proves that swimwear models don’t have to be young.
Yazmeenah Rossi is a successful model, visual artist and self-portrait photographer. Oh, and she’s 61.
Her latest swimwear campaign is going viral for its attempt to move away from swimwear ads and the incredible vitality of Yazmeenah.
“She’s a woman who radiates health and vitality,” campaign manager Brooke Taylor Corcia said of Yazmeenah’s choice. “She’s confident, she’s a visual artist, she takes care of herself.”
“That line is about being someone who has lived well and traveled well, who has intelligence and confidence, and lets that shine through,” she added.
Although Yazmeenah says ‘there’s no big secret’ to her incredibly youthful look, she says, ‘All I ever did was eat organic food, long before it was become fashionable!”
Yazmeenah, who was born in Corsica and raised in France, says, “I take oil and use it on my skin. I put canola oil on my hair. I rub my skin once a week with olive oil and fine sugar, and I eat an avocado a day and organic meat and fish.
