Any child can become a hero thanks to the group of “human arrows” kids who led the police to the thieves on our grand expedition! The teenagers, dubbed ‘Tremendous Twelve’, gained notoriety online after brilliantly constructing a human arrow to guide a police helicopter towards two fleeing burglary suspects.
Plus, they traveled with their loyal dog, a Yorkshire terrier named Molly, just like Enid Blyton’s fictional characters. The children, who spoke to the Mail on Sunday for the first time about their incredible experience, said yesterday: “We’re really proud – it was brilliant. » When they observed the helicopter circling, they were Easter egg hunting in the middle of a field near Capel, Surrey. They were aged between six and twelve. “It was really loud and you could see it said ‘police’ at the bottom,” one nine-year-old girl recalled.
Then we noticed a man running along the edge of the field. The man was seen removing his jumper and wrapping it around his head. They were trying to shout at the pilot, she continued. She went on to explain that despite their efforts to scream and shout to get the helicopter to turn towards the man, it was actually pointing in the opposite direction.
Two of my friends then remarked, “Let’s move on to an arrow” and we positioned ourselves on the ground. The children saw the helicopter arrive after it had been in the mud for about a minute.
