An old dog starts crying when she sees her best friend returning from the army

Buddy is a 13-year-old golden retriever who has spent his entire life with his best friend Hannah Foraker. But when Hannah turned 21, she joined the Army and went to Oklahoma for basic training. Hanna’s heart sank as she left her best friends, including her horse, Derby and Buddy. When Hannah came home for Christmas break 3 months later, she couldn’t wait to see Buddy. And Buddy couldn’t wait to see them! Hanna had Buddy when she was a puppy.

Buddy is very old, has arthritis and is mostly deaf. But that doesn’t stop him from giving Hannah a warm welcome. The moment she sees Hannah, she puts her head in her lap and starts crying. We’ve had many encounters with military dogs over the years, but this one is sure to tug on your heartstrings. Dogs never forget, and when these soldiers defending our freedom return home, they are the best (fur friends) ready to greet them with open paws.

Some of the videos we watched and posted for our viewers reminded us that dogs truly provide “unconditional love” in this world. This is a reminder that we need to take care of our best friends and that there really is nothing more devoted in the world than a dog. The excitement that Buddy must have felt at seeing his best friend again at such an advanced age brought tears to our eyes.
