Marta Stewart’s admirers and devotees abound around the world, making her a generally adored celebrity. However, many people call her “deaf” because of a social media post she made in Greenland. Although her May swimsuit cover for Sports Illustrated garnered plenty of praise, the 82-year-old’s latest Instagram post didn’t generate the same level of excitement. Stewart posted a selfie while cruising the east coast of Greenland on Tuesday, August 29. The entrepreneur and TV personality is shown in one of several photos enjoying a drink. The caption says: “End of @swanhelleniccruises’ first zodiac cruise in a beautiful fjord on the east coast of Greenland. We actually captured a small iceberg for our cocktails tonight. Although Stewart likely meant his post to be harmless, he quickly became the target of his supporters’ ire, as they thought it was in poor taste to use the “little iceberg” as a garnish for his drink. Almost immediately after declaring that “the ice caps were melting,” Stewart’s comments section was flooded with people criticizing him for referring to a tiny iceberg. “Martha, the ice caps are melting, don’t put them in your drink,” one Instagram user wrote.
Another added: “I generally like Martha and the excesses of her life because it’s about beautiful gardens, houses and food, but rich white people drinking their iceberg cocktails while the planet is in flames are a little deaf. » “As the climate warms due to the profits of a few thousand people, billionaires vacation near melting icebergs, collect them and use them to keep their cocktails cold. It sounds like a line from a dystopian novel. I can’t make this shit up lol,” a third joked. “Global warming and melting ice caps but we need glacier ice for cocktails?! Talk about your def. Additionally, the 81-year-old revealed her previous rigorous wellness regime. “I didn’t starve myself, but I didn’t eat any bread or pasta for a few months,” Stewart said during an appearance on the Today show. “I went to Pilates every other day, and it was great; I still go to Pilates every other day because it’s so awesome. And anyway, I live a clean life – good diet, good exercise, healthy skin care and everything in between. Stewart discussed the positive reception to the “authentic” coverage with attendees of the Las Vegas event during his keynote address. “The response was really encouraging because it gave women of all ages the feeling, ‘If she can do it, then I can do it too,’” Stewart noted.
