In England, a bus driver who won nearly 4 million euros at the Euromillions in 2012 fell out with his sons. The reason ? The father of the family refused to share his gain with them.
Remember! In 2012, twelve British bus drivers won the sum of 38 million pounds (nearly 45 million euros) after playing Euromillions , in the small town of Corby.
Alex Robertson was one of the lucky winners. In total, the latter won almost 3 million pounds (about 3.7 million euros) after the division of earnings. But this dream quickly turned into a nightmare. The reason ? He would have chosen not to share his money with his sons, thus causing a family quarrel.
They destroy their father’s new cars for revenge
At the time, English tabloid ‘The Daily Record’ reported that the millionaire’s two sons, William and Alex Junior, received just 200 cigarettes after their father’s victory.
Faced with this situation, the latter decided to take revenge by destroying the new cars – two 4×4 shoguns from the Japanese brand Mitsubishi Motors – of their parent with a hammer.
“ We drove up his driveway around 11 p.m. and smashed the windows of his new cars with two hammers. We then reported to the police,” explained Alex Junior in the columns of the daily The Sun.
Before adding: “ This victory tore our families apart ”. In addition to this act of vandalism, the father of the family would also have received a wave of threatening SMS from his eldest son, William.
The young man, who had been accused of harassment, escaped his trial in extremis because his father refused to testify against him. As The Daily Mirror reports, the case was dropped in 2013.
