Belgium: a 12-year-old child has just obtained… his master’s degree in physics!

Twelve years old, this little boy from Belgium has just obtained a master’s degree in physics.

His name may not mean anything to you, but Laurent Simons – a child aged twelve – is a real celebrity in Belgium. The reason? He has just obtained his master’s degree in quantum physics at the University of Antwerp, reports our colleagues from the Huffington Post.

And the least we can say is that the pre-adolescent is an exceptional being. With an IQ of 145 and an extraordinary memory capacity, he obtained his baccalaureate at the age of 8 before joining the benches of the university.

According to several Flemish media, Laurent Simons obtained his license last year. He was once again talked about in the press after obtaining his master’s degree with the highest honors.

Unsurprisingly, his extraordinary academic career impresses a large number of people. The gifted young Belgian receives a lot of support from his admirers. Grateful, he shared a thank you message on his Instagram account on July 13:

“I couldn’t have done this without your support! I can’t wait to start a new adventure with all of you! “, he said on the social network.

Today, he wants to start studying medicine. It should be noted that this course lasts on average between 9 and 12 years. One thing is certain: Laurent Simons will earn this diploma hands down, and at lightning speed. Her dream is to make artificial organs.
