A brave contestant sings an extraordinary cover of “His Eye Is On The Sparrow.” Her voice made me cry

It’s not uncommon for someone to choose their favorite pop, rock or country song to perform for an audition. Somer Smith chose an old hymn for his blind audition on The Voice in Australia. Just wait until you hear the tips on this lady.

Classic anthems can be hard to sing, but Somer seems to make her rendition effortless. Some of the uplifting lyrics are “I sing because I’m happy. I sing because I am free. For his eye is on the sparrow, and I know he is watching me.

Her soulful voice fills the arena as she begins to sing. Somer isn’t even able to finish the first verse before three of the judges turn around. Impressed by her incredible talent, they all wanted to coach her throughout the show.

It didn’t take long for the final judge to turn around. It was up to Somer to choose which team she would join. Although we don’t know who she cast in the video, you can’t help but wonder how far this talented young lady will go in the music industry.
