Paris Hilton opens up about her emotional distress over hurtful comments about her son’s head.

Paris Hilton expressed her dismay at the reaction to a recent photo of her eight-month-old son Phoenix Barron. The TV personality stressed on her Instagram Story that it was “unacceptable” for her followers to target her child in response to hurtful comments. On October 19, Hilton, 42, shared a series of photos on Instagram of her son, born to husband Carter Reum, on his first trip to New York City. After being alerted to the negative reactions to the post by a TikTok user, Hilton responded with a statement saying her child is in great health but has a big brain. Hilton took things a step further and addressed comments about Phoenix’s appearance in a follow-up Instagram Story post on Monday.

She began by saying, “When you live a life in the public eye, comments are inevitable, but targeting my child or anyone else’s child is unacceptable.” The public’s reaction, Hilton said, had deeply hurt her. She expressed, “This hurts my heart deeper than words can describe. I have worked hard to create an environment of love, respect and acceptance and I expect the same in return.” As a social media personality and new mother, Hilton shared that she has faced scrutiny while navigating motherhood. She explained: “If I don’t post my baby, people assume I’m not a great mother, and if I post it, there are some people who are cruel and hateful.

“I’m a proud working mother and my Baby is perfectly healthy, adorable and angelic.” Hilton stressed that her son was her “biggest blessing” and that she had always dreamed of becoming a mother. Every day she spends with him reminds her of what really matters. She expressed her disbelief that certain individuals would target such innocence and hoped that people could treat each other with more kindness and empathy.

Paris Hilton and Carter Reum quietly shared the news of their first child, born via surrogate on January 16, 2023, just eight days after his birth. Hilton also mentioned that her parents, Kathy Hilton and Rick Hilton, are very fond of their child and actively provide guidance and advice to help raise him. Hilton’s close bond with her family provides her with a significant support system.
