“Okay, put your list on the scale, and whatever it weighs, I’ll give you that much food,” he offered. After a brief hesitation, the woman scribbled on a piece of paper and, with trepidation, placed it on the scale.
As he did so, the scale dipped instantly, as if a heavy object had been placed on it. The store owner and customer looked on in amazement.
Confused by the result, the owner started placing the food on the other side of the scale. However, no matter how much I ate, the scale refused to balance. Unable to understand the situation, the store owner picked up the piece of paper, suspecting some form of deception.
What he discovered left him stunned. It was not a shopping list but a prayer. The words say, “Lord, the Lord knows my needs, I leave this situation in your hands.” »
Overwhelmed by the woman’s deep faith, the store owner gave her all the food that was piled up on the scale. A silence filled the room as the woman, carrying the food, left the store.
