In the United States, a couple paid a modest sum of 500 dollars to organize their wedding reception. Unsurprisingly, this story did not go unnoticed on social networks.
You may not know it, but the average budget for a wedding in France is 12,000 euros. In the land of Uncle Sam, couples pay around 30,000 dollars (around 28,000 euros).
A young bride residing in Los Angeles has decided to break the codes. In a TikTok video, the latter explains that she spent 500 dollars (462 euros) to organize her wedding reception.
And the least we can say is that Kiara Brokenbrough does not lack resources. The queen of good deals ordered her wedding dress from Shein, a Chinese online clothing brand.
Luckily, Kiara found the outfit of her dreams for the sum of… 47 dollars (43 euros): “I didn’t want to spend a lot of money on a dress because I was planning to wear it only once” , t-t she stated in her post.
Once this step was completed, the young woman once again showed common sense. For example, the groom’s suit cost a hundred euros. The couple decided to promise each other eternity during an outdoor ceremony.
To do this, the two lovebirds set their sights on a place that did not need to be rented: “We rented 30 chairs for 76 dollars (70 euros) and a triangle arch for 230 dollars (212 euros) . The petals, the cake and the long rug were gifts,” Kiara told Insider media.
The reception took place in a restaurant where each guest paid for their meal: “I am happy that we have chosen to have a simple and intimate ceremony, and I am very proud to have shown that it is more important to invest in your couple rather than in the wedding and the outfits” .
Unsurprisingly, the TikTok post quickly went viral (over 110,000 likes and 900,000 views). In the comments, Kiara received a shower of compliments from Internet users.
One thing is certain: a limited budget is not synonymous with mediocrity, as the photos of the ceremony demonstrate.
