Nia was a hard worker, but her recent promotion at the store had made her an aggressive and impatient boss. She survived until she decided to insult and fire her former supervisor. It had only been a week since Nia had been promoted and she still couldn’t believe it. She was now general manager of one of the fashion giant’s stores.
Years before her promotion, Nia already had lots of ideas for how she could improve the store if given the chance, and she kept them on file. That morning, the file sat proudly on her desk as she spoke to employees just before closing.
The staff responded with a nod, a knowing smile and a few polite thanks. The staff, however, were shocked by such a drastic decision. They couldn’t work because they knew that the slightest mistake, conscious or unconscious, would cause them to lose the money that paid most of their bills. They watched with fascination the journey of a worker who started as an intern on the floor and ended up reaching the top.
Perhaps that was the end of Victor’s work as a foreman in the workshop. But something incredibly bigger was about to happen to him the next day.
It was the start of a new chapter in the lives of Nias, Victor, and the store. As Viktor continued to run the shop, Nias became his right-hand man. The working dynamic between the two men was very good and they made this store the most successful in the chain’s history.
