This poor calico cat had several pounds of matted fur. It was a pretty serious case, one of the worst according to iizcat.com. Her elderly owner passed away, but it looked like neglect over a long period of time. Not only was it matted, her fur was already like dreadlocks. If you look at the cat from behind, to the untrained eye it looks like a giant tarantula. That’s how bad this poor cat’s condition was. She slowly moves the camera over the densely matted fur before showing the cat’s face.
The Calico just looks exhausted. In some ways she has had a difficult life. Imagine having all this hair on your back. If you literally look at the cat, all you see is its head and then a mass of hair. You can’t even see their paws or hind legs. The cat looked so miserable, so Jenn went to work.
She sedated the cat and shaved it. This cat literally had so much weight lifted off her back. All the years of neglect weighed on her, resulting in tentacle-like strands of fur that looked like she belonged in a sci-fi movie. Check out the full video below.
