He built a house that is only 89 square meters, but wait until you see the inside

Luke Thiull, 13, wasn’t a typical teenager for his age, most kids have other things on their minds than building houses, but Luke from Iowa is unlike any other school kid you’ve seen before! This talented child has proactively created his own little paradise in his own home in his parents’ backyard. The little project cost him around $1,500, but it’s the tiny house of his dreams, come see it! It’s incredible that this brave teenager would do what he does, especially in an adolescence filled with smartphones, iPads, and revolutionary computers and gaming systems. He decided to commit suicide in a more “traditional” way.

On his YouTube channel, he explains everything about his desire to build a tiny house and how he talks about his boredom that drove him to do it. In total, it took him about a year to gather the money and materials to do chores, mow the lawn, run online fundraisers, and do work for anyone he needed. He could and generally did everything he could to raise funds. Luke was friends with someone who knew about electricity and he helped him install all the electrical in exchange for Luke cleaning out his entire garage for him, trade by trade so to speak. During his project Luke used about 75% recycled materials, many things from his grandmother’s house, the front door was a gift from his uncle’s friend! The tiny house is about 89 square feet and is 10 feet long and about 5.5 feet wide. It has electricity, but no plumbing, so no sink or shower yet!

Luke said: “I liked minimalism” “And I wanted to have a house without a big mortgage. » Luke has made a lot of short videos that he posts on YouTube, he talks to us about his project, there are a lot of people who are curious about him and his motivation for it. Luke received a lot of help from his parents, both with construction and finances, but his father Greg made sure that Luke would pay for almost everything himself. Greg said: “It was an opportunity for a child to do something other than play video games or play sports” “It teaches life lessons.” The house is an absolute dream home for a teenager, a little haven to relax and have their own space, it has a microwave, TV and a loft with a bed, there is even a BBQ outside in the back!

After school, Luke diligently does his homework in his little house and then, at least sometimes, sleeps there at night! Luke already has ideas and dreams of building another house, but this time a little bigger because when he wants to start university he also wants to inspire others! He said: “I want to show children that building is possible at this age” Check out this project below: Luke’s story is an inspiration for what a child can achieve with a clear goal and a determined work ethic, and of course with a little support from their parents! Share and like if you also think more people see and hear about Luke’s great little house!
