Mao Mao is a golden retriever dog. The canine lives with its master in Henan Province, central China .
Shao, the owner, suffers from high blood pressure and other cardiovascular diseases. Since last April, he has had to wear a breathing mask to sleep. And the least we can say is that this new routine worries Mao Mao a lot.
The golden retriever takes care of his master
At bedtime, the furball can’t help but watch over its beloved master. In one video, the golden retriever is seen resting his head on Mr. Shao’s chest.
“Every time I put the mask on, my dog seems to smell something, like he knows I’m sick,” the owner said.
According to him, Mao Mao takes his role as nurse very seriously. Indeed, the canine refuses to leave him alone and spends all his nights by his side.
“He only gets up when I wake up. I have never seen such a smart dog ,” Mr. Shao said. The latter tried several times to push away his four-legged companion, in vain.
Unsurprisingly, the clip quickly went viral on social media. Mao Mao’s protective attitude has melted the hearts of many netizens.
Touched, another owner shared his similar experience: “When I get sick, my dog always stays next to me. He refuses to eat and looks so worried, it’s really comforting , ”he wrote in the comment.
