The family decided to invest in an abandoned house on the edge of a remote village, although such a venture may seem like a pure gamble to many people. The house was inconspicuous, but the masonry was well preserved. The family had a clear plan, and within three years the old village house became the most beautiful house in the area. The family liked the village immediately. It is located in a very picturesque place in the valley of the Oka River.
The nature here is beautiful and there is not much through traffic. In addition, the local properties are very cheap. The house belonged to a plot of 50 hectares. The property was gasified and electrified, so there were no problems setting up the infrastructure. From the very beginning, the owner of the house decided to keep a video diary of the renovation and describe the progress of the work. In his first video, he assesses the initial state of the house in detail and describes the general plan for the future: The renovation process took more than a year, but soon the old house was no longer recognizable.
The original frame could only be seen at the corners of the building and the window openings. As soon as the new outlines appeared, it became clear that all the work had not been in vain. But that was just the beginning. Soon more details were added: Alpine-style furnishings, a carport and the general beautification of the surrounding area. A small one-story building with four windows was transformed into a modern two-story home with several additions and a garage.
It is particularly interesting to see the new building from the inside. The owners came up with some interesting solutions for the interior design, matching the furniture to the size and layout: From the property it is only 40 kilometers to the nearest big city.
It was definitely the right decision to buy an old, abandoned house.
